Summary
The Selling Manager leads the store sales team to drive profitable business performance by executing strategic plans, coaching staff, assigning priorities, and leveraging selling tools to enhance customer satisfaction and sales metrics.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the sales team through coaching, feedback, and recognition
- Monitor and achieve sales targets, KPIs and performance metrics
- Model selling behaviors and mentor employees on the sales floor
- Implement clienteling strategies to build customer loyalty
- Execute promotional activities and sales events
- Support inventory control and maintain productivity standards
- Supervise cash transactions, deposits, and register balancing
- Participate in recruitment and interviews as needed
- Champion new selling technologies and report merchandising opportunities
Requirements
- Retail supervisory or similar industry experience
- Strong customer communication and relationship skills
- Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 30 lbs and work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- Business acumen with planning and prioritization skills
- Experience coaching and developing team members
- Familiarity with POS/register operations
- Awareness of fashion trends is a plus
