Summary
The Senior Analyst - Category Management High Jewelry drives the development and execution of High Jewelry product strategy across new product development, pricing, assortment analysis, and lifecycle management. This role owns product and pricing data, delivers decision-ready analysis and executive-ready materials, and translates market insights into actionable recommendations. The position operates cross-functionally and manages multiple priorities with attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Maintain image grids, product trackers, and SKU-level data throughout development and lifecycle stages.
- Initiate and lead new development projects, including SKU creation, pricing updates, and sign-off.
- Coordinate product reviews, obsolescence tracking, and assortment lifecycle actions.
- Analyze category performance metrics (sales, margin, inventory, assortment productivity) and produce actionable insights and product briefs.
- Prepare reports and presentations for leadership, product reviews, and business updates.
- Develop and model SKU-level pricing scenarios, maintain pricing files, and support price change processes.
- Conduct competitive analysis and market research to inform category positioning and pricing strategy.
- Lead cross-functional meetings, manage communication of launch statuses and risks, and support daily sales and special client requests.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- 3-5 years of experience in merchandising, category management, product marketing, or related analytical roles, preferably in luxury, jewelry, or fashion.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI and ability to adopt new business intelligence tools.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication and the ability to create executive-ready materials.
- Organizational and project management skills with a process-oriented mindset focused on efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with market research and a strong aesthetic sensibility.
- Preferred: high jewelry or gemstone expertise (Graduate Gemologist) and experience with complex high-value development processes.
