Summary
The Senior Manager, Commercial Development leads strategic account plans and relationship management for key multi-brand retail partners, driving omni-channel business performance for CHANEL Fragrance & Beauté. This role negotiates opportunities with retailers, aligns cross-functional teams, and develops targeted marketing and digital initiatives to grow market share and client loyalty. The position is hybrid and based in the New York office.
Responsibilities
- Act as primary point of contact and strategic lead for assigned retailer accounts, owning business performance and relationship management.
- Develop and execute seasonal omni-channel account strategies including advertising, visual presence and e-retail initiatives.
- Negotiate account-level opportunities and collaborate with retailer buyers and digital merchants to drive growth.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Marketing, eRetail, Client Intelligence, Planning, Retail Store Environment) to align initiatives and execute programs.
- Create presentations and reports for external retailer partners and internal senior leadership.
- Lead large cross-functional projects and coordinate field teams to optimize account performance.
- Monitor account P&L, analyze data and identify opportunities to improve retailer rank and client loyalty KPIs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- Prior experience in account development, business development, merchant/buying, or marketing with direct external account or brand management and negotiation experience.
- Strong analytical skills, retail math proficiency, and comfort with financial statements and modeling.
- Experience with digital marketing and CRM strategy, including site merchandising and paid digital tactics preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and strong presentation skills for senior-level audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Ability to travel occasionally for market meetings and store visits and work in-office a minimum of three days per week in New York City.
