Summary
The Store Director provides strategic leadership to drive sales and operational excellence for a luxury retail store. This role focuses on achieving financial targets, developing the team, implementing store strategies, and maintaining brand standards while collaborating with regional and corporate partners.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coach the sales team to achieve budget targets and store KPIs.
- Develop annual store strategies and update them quarterly with the RVP.
- Create and execute business plans working cross functionally with corporate teams.
- Manage hiring decisions, performance reviews, and staff development.
- Ensure grooming, appearance, and conduct standards are maintained.
- Oversee store scheduling, payroll adherence, and staffing contingency plans.
- Maintain 70% presence on the sales floor and 30% on administrative duties.
- Ensure visual merchandising and operational procedures align with corporate directives.
- Build client relationships and pursue market partnerships and local collaborations.
Requirements
- Ten years of experience in luxury retail or with luxury items.
- Proven managerial experience developing and inspiring diverse teams.
- Strong strategic thinking and decision making with practical execution skills.
- Knowledge of local marketing, media landscape, and ability to build industry relationships.
- Flexibility to work retail hours including weekends and holidays.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and ability to learn store operation software.
- Understanding of retail loss prevention, inventory management, and labor laws.
