Summary
The Store Manager is responsible for driving sales and profitability by managing merchandise, inventory, expenses, and store operations while building and maintaining clientele and executing the business strategy. The role includes recruiting and training staff, overseeing CRM and clienteling efforts, and ensuring visual and operational standards are met. The manager takes a proactive approach to trends and develops action plans to achieve financial goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute store strategy and annual action plans to meet sales and financial targets.
- Monitor and communicate store sales and key performance indicators and develop corrective action plans.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, payroll, recruiting, training, and performance management of store personnel.
- Control expenses and review profit and loss reports to ensure budget adherence.
- Ensure accurate POS transactions, cash handling, banking procedures, and adherence to policies.
- Lead clientele and clienteling programs, grow customer database, and ensure CRM standards are met.
- Maintain store merchandising and visual standards in collaboration with visual associate.
- Conduct regular business and product analysis to address merchandising changes and slow sellers.
- Ensure store is clean, organized, and operationally efficient.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of retail management or related experience, with luxury retail leadership preferred.
- Previous client book and experience in high-end clienteling environment preferred.
- Experience with financial management and reviewing profit and loss reports.
- Strong communication, customer service, leadership, and performance management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or related software and scheduling tools.
- Ability to prioritize, manage projects, and train staff in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and early or late shifts.
- Four-year degree or equivalent combination of work experience.
