Studio Leader

Summary

The Studio Leader is responsible for driving operational and financial excellence at the interior design studio in Malibu. Working closely with the Principal Designer, this role leads the studio team to deliver exceptional client experiences, support business development, and maintain the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Champion the studio’s vision, strategies and financial goals to achieve business targets
• Lead, develop and inspire team members, fostering an entrepreneurial, client-centered culture
• Remove obstacles and support design teams to enable timely, innovative project delivery
• Identify and grow client relationships and support business development and brand events
• Create strategic team schedules to optimize business operations and client experience
• Oversee daily studio operations including curation, replenishment and inventory management
• Maintain auditing and replenishment of floor models, samples, swatches and supplies

Requirements

• 7+ years of leadership experience within high-end furniture or luxury interior design firms
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical and decision-making skills
• Commitment to quality with exceptional attention to detail and mastery of the design aesthetic
• Proficiency with Mac OS, iOS devices, Microsoft Office and Google applications; Salesforce familiarity preferred
• Ability to travel locally up to 25% and lift and mobilize items up to 25 lbs using appropriate techniques
