Summary
Provide onsite technical support at the Distribution Center in Ontario CA, troubleshooting computer systems hardware and software, performing maintenance on technical equipment, and ensuring timely resolution within service level targets. Work Monday through Friday on the scheduled evening shift and collaborate with leadership to prioritize work and communicate issues. Protect customer and company data by following security controls and practices while supporting Nordstrom employees.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-person troubleshooting and maintenance for computer systems and hardware.
- Use work management systems to prioritize backlog and escalate issues to leadership.
- Analyze problems using available data and develop effective technical resolutions.
- Perform preventative maintenance to reduce unexpected equipment failures.
- Maintain target service level agreements for the support area.
- Demonstrate project management best practices in assigned tasks.
- Protect sensitive data and ensure appropriate security controls are implemented.
- Handle physical tasks including walking bending reaching standing and lifting up to 50lb.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a service management industry.
- Minimum 2 years tech support experience troubleshooting testing or repairing technical equipment.
- Familiarity with Windows 10 11 Dell desktops and laptops Zebra hand held scanners thermal label printers and laser printers.
- Strong problem solving technical troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation and learn quickly.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast changing environment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting 50lb boxes.
