Summary
The Temporary Operations Associate is responsible for maintaining store inventory and stock areas to company standards, minimizing loss, processing inbound and outbound shipments accurately, supporting receiving practices, and assisting with merchandising and housekeeping tasks to ensure operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Process all shipping and receiving functions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain orderly and neat stock and receiving areas and general store maintenance
- Process inbound freight returns transfers chargebacks and damages per policy
- Support compliance of receiving practices including safekeeping of funds property and records
- Participate in inventory and cycle counts
- Assist with floor moves merchandising display maintenance and price changes
- Pack or wrap customer merchandise when necessary
- Operate equipment such as sensor tag remover and inventory control systems
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management
Requirements
- Previous retail stock shipping or receiving experience
- Ability to handle receiving operations and merchandise appropriately
- Strong interpersonal communication organization and follow through skills
- Ability to read count and write to complete documentation accurately
- Ability to process information through computer inventory systems
- Ability to adjust priorities in a fast paced environment and work varied hours including nights weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and move handle heavy boxes and fixtures
