SummaryAs a Whiskey Sales Manager, you will oversee the commercial strategy in the Southern California market, providing account sales support and market brand education for MH Whiskey brands. Responsibilities- Demonstrate an understanding of whiskey brand strategy, marques, SKUs, and programs.
- Communicate and present key whiskey programming internally, to the distributor, and to the trade.
- Identify whiskey brand marketing and sales opportunities and implement them with the Spirits Field Marketing and local Market Director.
- Collaborate with brand ambassadors to execute commercial strategy locally.
- Conduct training and education for distributor teams, MH sales teams, and trade, including consumer-facing events and whiskey tastings.
- Work with distributor teams to target high indexing whiskey accounts and execute commercial plans.
- Establish whiskey KPIs and sales priorities with the market director.
- Drive sales growth for a dedicated Target Account List (TAL).
- Liaise with MH sales team and Distribution Sales Network to achieve whiskey KPIs in TAL.
- Provide input to Commercial Enablement team on forecasting and operations.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree or relevant industry experience required.
- 5+ years of professional experience in sales and marketing within wine and spirits.
- Strong relationship-building and customer-centric solution skills.
- Deep knowledge of MHUSA Whiskey portfolio and competitor/whiskey market.
- Understanding of consumer expectations within the geography.
- Ability to apply business knowledge to sales pitches and strategy-setting.
- Effective influencing and partnering skills, strong sales techniques.
- Refined communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent analytical ability and data interpretation skills.
- Able to work with all levels of the organization.
