Asset Protection Detective responsible for protecting company assets and reducing shrink through investigations, surveillance, and enforcement at the North Michigan location. The role works closely with store leadership and law enforcement to deter theft and ensure a safe shopping environment. This position requires discretion, good judgment, and strong observational skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations into internal and external theft incidents
• Perform surveillance and covert loss prevention activities
• Apprehend and detain suspects following company policy and local law
• Collaborate with store management and law enforcement on cases
• Collect and document evidence for incidents and investigations
• Testify in civil or criminal proceedings as required
• Monitor store activity to identify suspicious behavior and potential risks
• Implement and support loss prevention strategies and programs

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in loss prevention or security
• Strong investigative and observational skills
• Knowledge of apprehension procedures and local legal requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work discreetly and maintain confidentiality
• Comfort interacting with customers and law enforcement professionally
• Reliable transportation and ability to work a flexible schedule
