Asset Protection Detective - North Michigan

Summary

Responsible for protecting company assets and ensuring a safe shopping environment at the North Michigan location. Conduct investigations into incidents of theft and loss while collaborating with store leadership and law enforcement as needed. Maintain vigilance on the sales floor and back of house to deter loss and uphold store policies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store activity to prevent theft and reduce shrink.
• Investigate incidents of theft, fraud, and misconduct.
• Document findings and prepare incident reports.
• Work with store management and local law enforcement on cases.
• Conduct audits and inspections of high risk areas.
• Respond to alarms and security incidents promptly.
• Preserve evidence and assist in prosecutions when required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in asset protection or loss prevention preferred.
• Knowledge of retail security practices and investigative techniques.
• Ability to interact professionally with customers and law enforcement.
• Strong observational and reporting skills.
• Ability to stand and patrol for extended periods.
