Summary

The Assistant Sales Department Manager supports the department manager in driving sales, coaching the team, maintaining merchandising standards and managing inventory to deliver an exceptional customer experience. This role involves hiring, training and motivating sales team members and actively selling on the floor to build customer loyalty.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire and train department sales staff
• Develop and execute business plans to achieve department volume and productivity goals
• Coach and lead salespeople to deliver outstanding customer service
• Assist with merchandising and presentation to meet standards
• Sell on the floor to build customer relationships and loyalty
• Support accurate inventory management and shrinkage goals
• Collaborate with department and store managers and divisional merchandisers
