Summary
The Assistant Manager partners with the Floor Director and Managing Director to run boutique operations, drive sales, develop clients through CRM and service initiatives, and coach the sales team in a fast paced luxury retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coach sales staff including training and performance management
- Model exceptional service and maintain active management presence on the sales floor
- Review business metrics to identify sales opportunities and track delivery and special orders
- Conduct touch base meetings and participate in performance evaluations with leadership
- Communicate CRM standards and ensure associate compliance for client capture
- Enforce store policies and procedures and maintain accurate time and attendance records
- Organize seasonal trainings and internal updates for the sales team
- Maintain candidate database and assist with recruiting and interviewing
- Make critical client and store decisions in the absence of senior leadership
Requirements
- 4+ years of retail management experience
- Prior luxury retail experience preferred
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, POS systems, Cegid and E time
- Ability to interpret sales data and make business recommendations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift 0-25 lbs without assistance
- Flexible availability to meet business needs
- Experience with scheduling and payroll systems
