The Beauty Counter Manager provides personalized beauty experiences, maximizes sales for an assigned luxury beauty brand, and supports team and vendor relationships. This role combines direct selling, teaching cosmetic and skincare techniques, and managing counter operations within a department store setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform makeup applications and skincare analyses and recommend products aligned with customer goals
- Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital selling tools
- Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to drive business results
- Handle sales transactions including refunds and exchanges and enroll customers in rewards program
- Keep the department customer-ready through organization and cleanliness
- Stay current on beauty trends and product knowledge through trainings
- Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment
- Work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
Requirements
- Passion for customer service and beauty including makeup application and skincare
- Excellent ability to connect with customers and handle customer concerns
- Empathy and respect for customers during beauty services
- Strong multitasking, organization, and follow-through skills
- Drive to achieve sales goals and willingness to use networking and technology
- High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative
- Ability to perform continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift and handle physical tasks
- Ability to lift items regularly up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
