Beauty Counter Manager - Michigan Avenue

Summary

The Beauty Counter Manager oversees sales and customer experience for an assigned beauty brand at the Michigan Avenue counter. This role combines selling, teaching makeup and skincare techniques, and building a loyal customer following both in-store and through digital channels. The manager is responsible for driving sales results, coordinating vendor events, and maintaining counter presentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide makeup applications, skincare analyses, and personalized product recommendations.
• Set and achieve individual and counter sales goals using in-store and digital selling tools including text and social media.
• Manage scheduling, vendor events, promotions, and vendor relationships to maximize business outcomes.
• Handle sales transactions, refunds, exchanges, and assist customers with Nordstrom Rewards enrollment.
• Maintain counter organization, cleanliness, and customer-ready presentation.

Requirements

• Passion for beauty, trends, makeup application, and skincare with strong customer service skills.
• Proven ability to sell in a commissioned sales environment and build customer relationships.
• Strong multitasking, organization, follow-through, and initiative.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to stand and move continuously for 6-8 hours and lift items up to 25 pounds as needed.
