The Beauty Counter Manager leads sales and customer experiences for an assigned beauty brand, combining sales, product knowledge, and teaching to build a loyal customer following in-store and digitally. Responsibilities
- Conduct makeup applications and skincare analyses and recommend products to meet customer beauty goals
- Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital selling tools including text and social media
- Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to maximize business results
- Handle sales transactions including refunds and exchanges and support Nordstrom Rewards enrollment
- Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment
- Maintain department organization, cleanliness, and customer-ready presentation
- Stay current on beauty trends and product knowledge through trainings
Requirements
- Passion for customer service, beauty trends, makeup application, and skincare
- Excellent ability to connect with customers and manage customer concerns
- Strong multitasking, organization, and follow-through skills
- Drive to achieve sales goals and willingness to use networking and technology for selling
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative
- Ability to stand and move continuously for 6-8 hours and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 25 pounds
