The Beauty Counter Manager delivers personalized beauty experiences while driving sales for an assigned luxury beauty brand. This role balances direct selling, makeup and skincare services, and team collaboration to meet counter goals and support vendor partnerships in a department store environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform makeup applications and skincare analyses tailored to customer needs
- Recommend products and drive sales through in-person and digital channels including text and social media
- Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals and participate in commissioned sales activities
- Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to maximize results
- Handle sales transactions including refunds and exchanges and enroll customers in loyalty programs
- Maintain counter organization and cleanliness to keep department customer ready
- Stay current on beauty trends and product knowledge through trainings
Requirements
- Passion for beauty, makeup application, and skincare
- Excellent customer connection and ability to handle customer concerns empathetically
- Strong multitasking, organization, and follow through skills
- Drive to achieve sales targets and interest in networking and technology for selling
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative
- Experience in commissioned retail beauty roles preferred
