Summary
Provide personalized beauty experiences in the Nordstrom Beauty department by engaging customers, performing makeup applications and skincare analyses, and driving sales both in-store and digitally. Maintain product and industry knowledge to support customer recommendations and bookings for beauty services and events. Create a welcoming and inclusive environment while meeting sales goals and supporting team operations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct makeup applications and skincare analyses to recommend products aligned with customer beauty goals
- Engage customers to build relationships and drive sales in-store and via digital channels including text and social media
- Book appointments and support in-store beauty events and services
- Manage sales transactions, refunds, and exchanges while promoting customer loyalty and Nordstrom Rewards enrollment
- Keep the department organized, clean, and customer ready
- Collaborate with team members to foster an inclusive and supportive environment
- Stay current on beauty trends, products, and brand knowledge through provided trainings
Requirements
- Passion for beauty, makeup application, and skincare
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect and handle customer concerns
- Excellent multitasking, organization, and follow-through abilities
- Drive to achieve sales goals and willingness to use networking and technology for selling
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- Physical ability to stand and move continuously for 6-8 hours and perform bending, reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds
- Empathy and respect for diverse customers during beauty services
