Summary

The Beauty Stylist drives beauty sales through demonstrations, artistry, and one-on-one customer service. This role focuses on recommending the right products, building client relationships, and thriving in a commissioned sales environment. The stylist supports both in-store and digital selling and participates in community and in-store events.

Responsibilities

• Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital channels using selling tools like text and social media
• Conduct service consultations to assess customer preferences and recommend products
• Build lasting customer relationships through follow-up, product suggestions, and appointment-based selling
• Create and host in-store events, network in the community, and grow Nordstrom Rewards accounts
• Maintain strong vendor relationships and product expertise to support brand priorities

Requirements

• 1+ years of beauty industry experience
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department needs
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organization, and follow-through skills
• High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Physical ability to move continuously for 6-8 hours, perform bending, reaching, and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
