Summary
The Designated Selling Associate focuses on one-on-one customer relationships to drive sales for the department and represented brands. This role emphasizes product knowledge, merchandising, appointment based and digital selling, and contributing to team performance through education and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital channels using selling tools including text and social media
- Build and maintain lasting relationships with customers and open Nordstrom Rewards accounts
- Provide personalized styling advice on fit price and wardrobe value
- Conduct appointment based selling during events and non-event periods
- Lead or participate in product knowledge meetings and trainings
- Provide product feedback to the district manager to influence assortment
- Support department readiness through stocking re-merchandising displays price markdowns transfers and cleaning
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to cultivate customer rapport
- Ability to excel in a competitive team environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Flexible availability to work varied schedules based on business needs
- Ability to read and act on sales reporting in relation to goals
- Strong product and brand knowledge with the ability to educate customers
