Summary
Seasonal maternity coverage role supporting employee relations for US retail operations, administering policies and programs related to performance management, compliance and general HR policy. The role conducts investigations, provides guidance to managers, and implements training and processes to ensure a safe and compliant workplace. This fully remote position supports activities across states with a focus on consistency and risk mitigation.
Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day employee relations matters for store employees including disciplinary actions and terminations
- Conduct full cycle internal investigations and document findings
- Advise managers and employees using established guidelines and prepare written documentation such as corrective actions and PIPs
- Develop and deliver formal training to management on employee relations topics
- Provide coaching to managers on supervision discipline and employment law
- Partner with Employment Counsel on cases and new legislation implementation
- Manage learning management system for employee relations trainings and ensure compliance
- Manage electronic background check system and religious accommodation process
- Report track and analyze employee documentation and investigations for trends
Requirements
- 3 years of progressive HR experience with exposure to employee relations
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field
- Strong knowledge of federal state and local employment laws and regulations
- Proven experience conducting thorough unbiased internal investigations
- Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills
- Ability to build rapport and influence at all organizational levels
- Strong analytical problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Proficiency in HRIS and learning management systems
- High level of discretion integrity and ethical conduct
