Job Description

Overview

Join a luxury cashmere startup based in New York City, specializing in premium womens knitwear and ready-to-wear collections. We are seeking a Freelance Sales Executive to drive our U.S. wholesale growth during the upcoming Las Vegas Sourcing trade show. This role involves crafting and executing a strategic sales plan to enhance brand awareness, engage buyers, and increase order volume. As a key player, you will collaborate closely with our leadership team to achieve our sales objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Build a targeted list of multi-brand boutiques, department stores, and digital retailers; secure appointments prior to the trade show.
  • Develop sell-in decks, line sheets, pricing, and margin guides tailored to U.S. buyers.
  • Manage sample logistics, booth visuals, and on-site merchandising to maintain luxury cashmere positioning.
  • Represent the collection at Las Vegas Sourcing from August 18–20, 2025.
  • Conduct back-to-back appointments, capture purchase orders, and gather buyer feedback for design teams.
  • Provide real-time reporting to leadership on traffic, leads, and daily sales during the show.
  • Follow up with all prospects within 72 hours post-show to negotiate terms, minimums, and delivery windows.
  • Populate and maintain a CRM or sell-in tracker to manage the sales pipeline effectively.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years experience selling luxury knitwear or premium ready-to-wear to U.S. specialty and department stores.
  • Established buyer network with Sourcing-attending retailers and a proven track record of opening new accounts and achieving six-figure purchase order targets.
  • Expert negotiation skills with a strong understanding of margin structures, charge-backs, and seasonal order cycles.
  • Self-directed and resourceful, comfortable working on a freelance retainer and commission basis.
  • Ability to travel to Las Vegas and endure long trade-show hours while managing physical samples.
