Guesthouse Hospitality Support Associate

Summary

Provides hospitality and in-room dining service for guests at the New York Guesthouse. Responsible for beverage and light food preparation, table and room service, POS order entry, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment. Supports setup, restocking, and guest requests to deliver a high standard of service.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down the service area daily and maintain presentation of common and dining areas
• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, alcoholic, and non-alcoholic beverages according to menu
• Answer calls and guest requests for in-room service and enter orders accurately in the POS
• Run food and beverages to tables, guest rooms, and rooftop deck while engaging with guests
• Explain menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to guests
• Restock product, glassware, china, syrups, and maintain beverage storage and bar cleanliness

Requirements

• 2+ years experience in the service industry preferred
• Proper alcohol and food certifications as required by state law and must be of legal age to serve alcohol
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
• Experience with Micros or similar POS systems
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods; able to work indoor and outdoor in various climates
