Diamond Machine Operator

Summary

Operates and maintains diamond technology and equipment supporting the Diamond Division's production and grading processes. Responsible for laser inscription, Sarine proportion evaluation, data integrity and uploads into JDE, and routine machine calibration. Leads machine operation training, creates and updates SOPs, and supports continuous improvement and cross-site equipment issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Operate laser inscription and Sarine equipment, ensuring accuracy and quality of inscriptions and proportion evaluations.
• Process, size, and sort diamonds; maintain Sarine output integrity and control upload of data into JDE.
• Perform adjustments, calibrations, routine maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and coordinate with engineering and vendors.
• Lead training sessions on machine operation, create and maintain SOP documentation, and support continuous improvement initiatives and related projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education.
• 2 years operating and maintaining machines and/or technological equipment.
• Advanced computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office and excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a technical environment for extended periods, manage multiple priorities, and work with limited supervision.
• Preferred: Diamond Grading Diploma, operational knowledge of Sarine equipment, experience with laser engraving, and prior diamond laboratory experience.
