Summary
Lead the store to deliver exceptional client experiences while driving sales and profitability. Provide strategic vision in partnership with senior management, develop store operations and staffing models, and mentor management and sales teams to achieve performance targets in a high-profile luxury retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute the store vision and business plan with senior management to drive sales and profitability.
- Monitor store performance, analyze weekly sales by category and implement staffing models to optimize sales potential.
- Oversee operations including inventory management, cycle and physical inventory, and use of retail systems.
- Recruit, hire, schedule and manage payroll and timesheet submission for store staff.
- Develop and deliver training programs, mentor assistant directors and department managers, and manage performance reviews and succession planning.
- Manage store appearance, displays and customer experience to maximize conversion and average transaction value.
- Handle customer issues and complaints, support sales staff with clienteling and consignments.
- Coordinate collection previews and events with senior management and marketing.
- Maintain administration including contracts, invoices and required documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in business or related field.
- Minimum 10 years managerial experience in luxury retail with emphasis on general store management.
- Experience with multi store management and full profit and loss responsibility.
- Proficiency with retail systems and inventory management software and strong computer literacy.
- Strong leadership, coaching and team development skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with problem solving ability.
- Ability to develop and implement training and retention initiatives.
- Foreign languages are a plus.
