Job Description

Summary

As a Team Manager at Valentino in New York, you will lead a dynamic team to achieve business strategy goals by enhancing client engagement and connection. You will play a crucial role in driving strategic performance and ensuring that budget and targets are met.

Responsibilities
  • Build and retain a talented team, ensuring career development and succession plans.
  • Assess team skills and provide coaching on Valentino Couture Centric organization principles.
  • Promote proactive client engagement and increase distant sales engagement.
  • Conduct monthly performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Ensure team awareness of corporate image standards and promote a positive team environment.
  • Oversee onboarding and training of new hires and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Partner with Store Manager/Director and HR on employee relations issues.
  • Ensure effective communication of company content through briefings and trainings.
  • Enhance client experience by ensuring excellent Client Journey standards.
  • Coach team to maximize client connections and conversions.
  • Assist in assigning and achieving quantitative and qualitative objectives.
  • Ensure proper execution of CRM activities and inclusion of digital tools in client journey.
  • Manage VIP and Top Spender Clients and handle delicate sales situations.
  • Adhere to loss prevention policies and ensure safety of team and products.
  • Communicate with Store Manager/Director and buying team for stock provision.
  • Ensure organization and systems are in place for smooth client experience.
  • Manage end of season returns and product transfers.
  • Supervise inventory management and communicate stock information to sales team.
  • Ensure visual criteria and guidelines execution in store.
  • Lead operational tasks and ensure procedures are followed.
  • Coach sales team on operations tasks and manage cash and payment systems.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in luxury retail industry.
  • 3-5 years management experience in leading a team in luxury retail.
  • Proven track record in sales and team development.
  • Excellent knowledge in product and client journey.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of store and team performance.
  • Effective team management skills and ability to motivate team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to develop relationships with clients, team, and business.
  • Clear and concise communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks under strict deadlines.
  • Proficient in all store sales and operations systems.
