Responsibilities
Merchandise management – 50%
- Coordinate the receipt and return of items between the studio and the mini-warehouse on Chabanel and ensure the accuracy of inventory and location of items at all times
- Ensure inventory is delivered on time to meet production targets
- Coordinate production flow based on customer orders of items that are required in the studio and ensure that productivity targets, production goals and service level agreements are met
- Liaise between receiving inventory and producing content for the studio’s e-commerce to establish effective communication of relevant updates
- Respond to and resolve quality control issues, such as incorrect product information or receipt of damaged or defective items, in a timely manner
- Manage maintenance and guidelines for all goods upon receipt and return
- Support loss prevention by quickly identifying and resolving merchandise issues and reporting discrepancies in inventory
- Maintain cleanliness, organization and safety in the preparation room by ensuring the proper maintenance of equipment and the implementation of the 5S method
- Monitor supply needs and report on department needs for timely replenishment (of supplies, garment racks, etc.)
- Distribute resources according to production needs
Training and development – 40%
- Support the team leader with reception and integration tasks; participate in the mentoring and training of a competent and talented team of studio assistants
- Develop training manuals and establish training procedures
- Ensure the team’s commitment by regularly stimulating team spirit and implementing the measures necessary for a work environment that promotes healthy communication, collaboration and productivity
Continuous improvement – 10%
- Identify opportunities to improve daily operations and productivity related to processes and inventory flow
Qualifications
- College or university degree in fashion marketing, business administration or a related field
- Two to three years of experience in coordination or logistics in the field of fashion or in the context of an e-commerce business
- Knowledge of fabric and garment care principles an asset
- Experience working with ready-to-wear items an asset
- Excellent command of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Excellent communication skills in English and French, both oral and written
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems an asset
- Understanding of warehouse operations an asset
- Flexible hours; available evenings and weekends, as needed
- Ability to walk 5 km per day with equipment or stand for extended periods as needed
