Job mission
You are an integral part of a dynamic and innovative Learning and Development team (L&D), whose purpose is to create and deliver engaging learning experiences that inspire and support the development and growth of both our commercial (Boutique and Retail Partners) and corporate teams at Cartier North America.
Under the strategic vision of the AVP of Learning & Development, the Director of Learning & Instructional Design is a key member of the L&D Team charged with building a strong learning culture through the development of strategic programs, tools and trainings targeted at supporting the growth of both our people and the business.
As a part of this client-centric team, which is focused on supporting the development of Cartier employees throughout all points in the talent lifecycle, you will be responsible for overseeing the authoring of programs and materials developed in N.A., as well as partnering with Global L&D on the deployment and regionalization of global offerings. The Director is expected to demonstrate broad learning leadership and have experience in a variety of delivery methodologies including but not limited to instructor led training, eLearning, distance learning, self-paced reference materials, peer-to-peer learning/social learning, experiential, etc.
As program development will be focused on supporting both the development of our Maison’s Commercial and Corporate teams, key areas of focus include, transversal topics such as Onboarding and Leadership Development, and supporting the Head of DE&I in the development of DE&I programs. Commercial specific topics include soft skills such as client centricity, the art of selling, product storytelling, etc.
In addition, it will be the responsibility of the Director and their team to facilitate programs for corporate employees, provide TTT to field trainers, and occasionally support commercial deployment. The Director will have a small team of Instructional Designers to support the goals.
While each person on this team is responsible for executing their areas of individual contribution with excellence, there is high value and expectation of supporting one another’s goals; in this role you will balance your time between leading and working on ID goals, alongside shared team goals.
